Artist's Statement
I believe that the "statement" should be in the artist’s work and my "statement" is complete when I sign my name to a print. In a sense, it is now out of my hands and into yours. Your reactions, be it positive, negative or indifferent, are now paramount and should be derived directly and solely from the artwork. At least, that is how I believe it should be. This is not to say that I have nothing to reveal about my work, it is just that I believe it is best shared one on one, after the viewer has formed his or her own viewpoint. Comments and questions are welcome.
